Mariana's food journey spans from the Post Ranch Inn in Big Sur California, across the country to Prune in New York City, all the wat to the test kitchens of Saveur and Eating Well magazines.
Since then Mariana has worked on hundreds of food styling and food experience projects that have taken her all over the globe.
Her styling work has been featured in the New York Times, Vogue, Food & Wine, Bon Appetit, Gourmet, Wine Spectator, Southern Living, Fine Cooking, Rachel Ray Magazine, O Magazine, Cooking Light, InStyle, amongst many others.
She is a published author of three recipe books and has styled, art directed, developed recipes and collaborated on more than twenty cookbooks throughout her career. She was selected among some of the country’s best to food style American Grown, by First Lady Michelle Obama, a project that took her career into the White House kitchen and garden.
Her Publishing credentials include two James Beard Book Award recipients and collaborations with John Wiley and Sons, Taunton, Crown Publishing, Chronicle Books, Ecco, Random House, Houghton Mifflin Harcourt, Ediciones Gamma (Latin America), Gastronómica de Mexico (Latin America), MNR Comunicaciones (Latin America) and others currently in progress.
She is a passionate admirer of film, is an avid art collector and firmly believes that shaved ice is a mere vehicle for sweetened condensed milk -one of her guilty pleasures.
